“Serving those who

have served us”.

Our one and only aim is to be:

“Serving those who

have served us”

What are our aims?

We aim to bring together local and national agencies and organisations who deliver welfare and support for:

  • Serving personnel and their families
  • Veterans of all ages and their families
  • Deployed service personnel and their families

All of these mentioned above can get help from various organizations during their time of need.

There are trained specialised personnel available in our member organisations to help the above and their dependents. If you are a Veteran no matter how long or when you served, you and your family may be entitled to help no matter what the problem may be including:

  • Physical and mental illness or disabilities
  • Financial assistance
  • Housing assistance
  • Care assistance
  • Funeral costs

The SAFN works together with many of the national and local organisations and agencies that are involved in delivering care for our Armed Forces Community.

The network is a great source for exchanging information amongst these groups and it has been an invaluable resource for associations and individuals to gain information and support.

The SAFN gives local groups a united voice on their concerns and is represented on the North East Regional Armed Forces Network.

SAFN have the 5th Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Community Engagement Officer as an advisor who regularly briefs the network on the continual changes in various aspects of care and support as well as MOD initiatives.

If you are a Veteran this is not Charity - you are entitled to our help
